So What is Risky and What is Safe?
Many Americans today need to lose all of their wealth so that we can turn our lusts away from material things and focus them back on God. We believe God is bringing about such a time to give many this blessing. Material/Physical pain is good if it bears fruit to eternal spiritual blessings in our lives. Our lives here on earth are supposed to be about growing closer to God and taking up His likeness. Most of us have no concept of this and need to have this fresh vision made real in our lives because we are simply too focused on the things of this world.
What about you? Is this you?
Is it in your heart to protect your assets because you feel that they can somehow provide protection to you? Or do you understand that God is your only protection and that with wise stewardship you might use these assets to serve His people?
We believe the answer to this is key and that the decisions you make about asset allocation will only be made correctly in this environment if they are made with the right heart. Having a pure heart for God and His Kingdom is essential before any of these other things matter. Jesus said…
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)
After this foundation is established, we must think about questions such as…
- What if the Dollar collapses and is worth little to nothing in comparison to today?
- Are other currencies viable alternatives to the Dollar for your “Safe Money”?
- If so, which ones and how do we choose them?
- What about hard assets as a store of value?
- What benefits and risks do they carry and should we own them?
