More on Inflation, Deflation & Hyperinflation

Have other countries already started to figure out that buying our debt is a pyramid scheme?

Have other countries already started to figure out that buying our debt is a pyramid scheme?

We’ve been discussing inflation and deflation and today we’ll dig more into hyperinflation.  If the world has figured out that buying our debt is a pyramid scheme and that they will be left holding nothing, they will no longer finance our massive deficit each year.  This could happen in the blink of an eye and come like a thief in the night!

The best thing for the government to do in this scenario would be to allow rates to rise, slash spending and get the budget under control so that the world can once again trust us.  But this would surely lead to more difficult economic times and what group of politicians is going to head in that direction?  None.

So what they will do is print more money to buy the debt that they have decided we need to float the borrowing we need to do.  If you’re thinking that this will just cause hyperinflation to spin out of control, you are correct! This is the road that many countries have gone down before. The two most famous are probably Zimbabwe who went from a prosperous exporting nation to a dust bowl of a country whose currency bills were priced in the millions but still worthless.  Also, Wiemar Germany went through this between the two wars to the same effect.  Many other countries have done this.  Argentina and Russia come to mind.  They all survive, but it is incredibly difficult to live through.

All the money that you have quickly becomes worth very little.  No one will want to accept your money anymore.  All but the very richest people (who are properly diversified into things which don’t lose value) quickly become very poor.  One big difference between many of these countries and us is that we are a very urban society filled with people who long ago forgot how to grow its own food.  People will be hungry and desperate.  Please remember that the Lord is bringing about this new season for a reason and whether we see inflation, deflation, or hyperinflation, He is bringing about His purposes and for those who seek Him in this time, it will be wonderful indeed!

We have a free event here in Austin tonight where we’ll talk about which of these realities will manifest: inflation, deflation, or hyperinflation and what you can do to prepare, protect and even grow your assets.  Click here to learn more or sign up to come here.

This post is Part 4 in the series Inflation or Deflation. To read the rest of this series, please read Pt 1, Pt 2 and Pt 3.

You had my interest until you made this a religious issue. Why go and make this a plight of the damned when the vast majority of intelligent people are waking up to the realization that through knowledge we conclude natural evolution is why we are all here. There is vast evidence of the age and size of the universe, and no evidence at all of the fanatics view of religion. But they ask us to have faith…please. Your seminar will obviously be some mumbo jumbo fear mongering about the end of days and how we need to repent, no thanks.

Thanks for your comment Donny. I appreciate it. I will quibble a bit with your saying that I made this a “religious issue”. I am very against religion. But of course part of what you are saying is that I am making this about God &/or Christ, and yes, everything in life is about Him. Only 7 years ago, I would have totally agreed with you, but I have been given an overwhelming amount of “evidence”. While I used to doubt to the point of rigid unbelief, I now believe beyond any possibility of my mind being changed because the matter is proven and God works powerfully in every area of my life. Although I started by looking at outside “proofs” (and actually there are many for those who care to actually look rather than believing the many myths against Christ), I now have an ongoing understanding of and communication with (although not nearly as much as I would like) the living God.

I hope you won’t be offended by my saying. I used to hold very similar views. But to think things like “we have new knowledge that people in the past did not have” is incredibly arrogant and ignorant of the past. Many of the most popular antichrist views today, were held thousands of years ago. There is nothing new under the sun. But it is the nature of Man in this world to believe ourselves somehow superior to what has come before.

When you know who He is and what this world is all about, you realize that financial & economic facts are superfluous outside the context of God’s plan. So yes, I would say about 1/4th of The Coming Storm (which is, I assume, the video you’re talking about) is spiritual. And in that part you will probably think from where you are now and what you believe, that I’m a wacko. The majority is economic. Again, I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s not important to me that you do business with me. My motives are all very clear. You’re welcome to check out the video and then sign off the newsletter list.

Last point, what you see as an unnecessary part of the message, is actually what gives me the confidence to give the message. There are other strong economists who see that these things are coming, but many more who can’t imagine such a difficult reality hitting us. It’s against human nature to believe such things. If you were to read the old testament you can see that this story repeats itself throughout history. It’s nothing new. However, I know from God that very hard times are coming. He hasn’t told me the exact details of things, but because I know this, it gives me the courage to go out on this limb. So you see, it’s a vital part not only of the reason for things, but also my ability to give the message.

Anyways, I do appreciate your coming and commenting. Whether or not you spend another second on this site, I do hope God blesses you!
